Konstitutivna sednica Skupštine Kosova je prekinuta u trenutku kada je lider Samoopredelenja Aljbin Kurti umesto da predloži kandidiata iz svoje stranke za predsednika parlamenta, zatražio dodatno vreme za postizanje dogovora oko izbora predsednika Kosova, iako ta tema nije bila na dnevnom redu. Prethodno je obavljeno potvrđivanje mandata 120 poslanika parlamenta i oni i su položili zakletvu.
