Kerala Assembly polls 2026: Senior leader T.K. Govindan quits CPI(M) in Kannur

The district secretariat member of the party is unhappy with the party fielding P.K. Shyamala at Taliparamba. He states that since party secretary M.V. Govindan was a three-time MLA from the constituency, the seat should not be given to his wife for the fourth term. T.K. Govindan plans to enter the fray as an Independent.
