Japan's Linear Rainband Forecast System Shows 30% Accuracy

Japan's Meteorological Agency launched a new 'linear rainband immediate forecast' system in May, which has shown an accuracy rate of approximately 30%. The system provides an average lead time of about one hour before the occurrence of heavy rainbands, and the agency plans to enhance its website explanations.
