Japan to Lift Restrictions on Lethal Weapon Exports, Begin Talks with Philippines
Japan has decided to abolish its "5 categories" rule, which previously limited defense equipment exports to non-combat purposes. This move will allow the export of lethal weapons, with Defense Minister Kihara planning discussions with the Philippines, which has shown interest in Japanese destroyers.
