Italy to Release Octopuses in Adriatic to Combat Blue Crabs
Italian scientists plan to release 160,000 octopuses into the Adriatic Sea. The octopuses are natural predators of the invasive blue crab, which has proliferated in the northern Adriatic and is causing damage to shellfish farms.
