Israel bombs Hezbollah across Lebanon

Israeli forces conducted airstrikes targeting Hezbollah infrastructure and positions throughout Lebanon on Tuesday, following rocket fire from Lebanese territory into northern Israel. The Israeli military stated that its aircraft "successfully struck" numerous targets, including weapons depots and launch sites, in response to what it described as "provocations" by the Iran-backed group. Hezbollah, in turn, claimed responsibility for firing rockets at Israeli military sites, asserting it was a "deterrent" measure. The exchange of fire marks a significant escalation in the ongoing cross-border hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah, which have intensified since the outbreak of the conflict in Gaza. International calls for de-escalation have so far failed to halt the violence, raising concerns about a wider regional conflict.
