ISCCM Urges Stronger ICU Infection Control and Antimicrobial Stewardship
The Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM) called for enhanced ICU infection control and antimicrobial stewardship at Criticare 2026, highlighting the global threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). AMR is linked to nearly 7 lakh deaths annually and is projected to cause 10 million deaths by 2050 without coordinated action.
