It appears that the Icelandic State Treasury, under the domains rikissjodur.is and ríkissjóður.is, has unexpectedly involved itself in the national referendum campaign by publishing an information website about the costs associated with using the króna as currency.

Svo kann að virðast sem ríkissjóður hafi undir léninu rikissjodur.is og ríkissjóður.is óvænt blandað sér í kosningabaráttuna fyrir þjóðaratkvæðagreiðsluna með útgáfu upplýsingavefs um kostnaðinn, sem hlotist hafi af því að hafa krónuna sem gjaldmiðil á þessari öld. Við nánari skoðun kemur þó í ljós að vefurinn er hinu opinbera alls óviðkomandi.
