Hunebedcentrum Identifies 50-Million-Year-Old Eagle Ray Dental Plate Fossil
The Hunebedcentrum in Borger, Netherlands, has identified a rare 50-million-year-old fossil as the dental plate of an extinct prehistoric eagle ray. The fossilized tooth plate was found embedded in a piece of sandstone and its identity confirmed by a recent study.
