Torņakalns railway bridge to be dismantled at end of year

In Rīga’s Torņakalns district, the dilapidated Altonava Street railway bridge, which is over a century old, is due to be dismantled at the end of this year or early next year. It has been decided to divide the work into three phases in order to construct a new link, Latvian Radio reported on August 28.
