Heatwave Spreads Across France, Increasing Fire Risk and Degrading Groundwater

A new heatwave is expanding across France, leading to a very high risk of wildfires in several southern departments, including Drôme and Pyrénées-Orientales. The prolonged hot weather is also causing groundwater levels to deteriorate.
