Greenland Shark: The Longest-Living Vertebrate

Scientists have identified the Greenland shark as potentially the longest-living vertebrate on Earth, maturing at around 150 years old and with some individuals estimated to be over 250 years old. These sharks grow approximately one centimeter per year and inhabit the cold northern seas.
