Ghana's NHIA Disburses Funds and Expands Healthcare Access

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) in Ghana has disbursed GH¢219.8 million to healthcare providers, while the Gold Fields Ghana Foundation expanded healthcare access by renewing over 260 National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) memberships in Awudua.

More than 260 residents of Awudua and surrounding communities in the Western Region have gained renewed access to healthcare after registering, renewing or replacing their National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) cards during a free medical outreach organised by the Gold Fields Ghana Foundation.
