German Journalist Questions Claims of 'Sarajevo Safari' After Investigation
German journalist Michael Martens of Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung has published a new article questioning claims that wealthy foreigners paid to witness the siege of Sarajevo, often referred to as 'Sarajevo safari'. Martens stated that after speaking with many people familiar with the siege, none had any information about such 'sniper tourists', finding the claims akin to saying 'King Kong defended the city'.
