German Cabinet Approves Revised Heating Law, Scraps 2045 Ban

The German cabinet has approved a revised heating law, which notably removes the previously planned operating ban for heating systems from 2045. This legislation, now passed by the cabinet, will proceed to the Bundestag for further deliberation.

Die Bundesregierung hat das neue Heizungsgesetz auf den Weg gebracht. Damit soll die Pflicht wegfallen, dass neue Heizungen mit einem Anteil von mindestens 65 Prozent erneuerbaren Energien betrieben werden müssen.
