Gatwick Airport Expansion Moves Forward After Legal Challenge Fails

The £2.2 billion expansion of Gatwick Airport, including a second runway, has moved closer to realization after a legal challenge against the project failed. The expansion was initially approved by Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander in September 2025.
