Former Polish Justice Minister Discusses Wrongful Imprisonment Compensation

Professor Zbigniew Ćwiąkalski, former Polish Minister of Justice and an attorney who secured a record settlement for the wrongful conviction of Tomasz Komenda, stated that seeking compensation for unjust deprivation of liberty is very difficult. He noted that miscarriages of justice are common and Poland is no exception.
