Foreign Workers Dominate Spanish Construction Sector as Local Workforce Declines
The Spanish construction sector is experiencing a significant shift, with over half of construction laborers and 48% of bricklayers now being immigrants. Since before the pandemic, the sector has lost 22,000 Spanish workers while gaining 238,000 foreign workers, who are also closing the gap in more technical roles.
