Dead denied dignity: Man’s body ‘floated’ on tied drums through Rewa floodwaters

Villagers in Rouli, Rewa district, used drums to create a raft for a deceased person. The body was transported from the hospital to the home across floodwaters. This incident has led to accusations of insensitivity against the local panchayat. Officials have denied these allegations and stated boats were arranged. A video of the event surfaced online, causing public outrage and calls for an inquiry.
