Fidesz Expresses Rule of Law Concerns, Protests Against Fundamental Law Amendment

Hungary's ruling Fidesz party has voiced concerns regarding the rule of law in the country and is protesting against a proposed amendment to the Fundamental Law. Demonstrators against the arbitrary rule are also calling for the restoration of the rule of law and criticizing Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

Fidesz concerned for the rule of law in Hungary, protests against amendment of Fundamental Law

The amendment would allow for removing the president appointed by Fidesz, and would establish a body for uncovering cases of corruption and misuse of public funds, among others.
