FAIR Accelerator Facility to Be Completed on Schedule Despite Fire Damage

Despite a major fire at the Darmstadt Center for Heavy Ion Research causing 145 million euros in damages and requiring years for some repairs, the FAIR accelerator facility is still expected to become operational by the end of 2027.
