ESA to Launch New High-Resolution Weather Satellite for Europe and North Africa

The European Space Agency plans to launch the MTG-I2 satellite on Thursday to provide rapid, high-resolution imagery for improved weather forecasting and climate monitoring across Europe and North Africa.

Die Europäische Weltraumorganisation (ESA) will am Donnerstag einen neuen Wettersatelliten ins All schießen. „MTG-I2“ soll künftig hochauflösende Bilder in schneller Abfolge für die Wettervorhersage und die Klimaüberwachung in Europa und Nordafrika mit hoher Detailgenauigkeit liefern und helfen, den Schutz vor Extremwetterereignissen zu verbessern. Mit an Bord ist auch österreichische Raumfahrttechnologie.
