Environmentalists to Involve Bailiff Over Unabated Pollution at Kazokiškės Landfill

The Environmental Protection Department in Lithuania has confirmed that the Vilnius County Waste Management Center has failed to stop above-normal hydrogen sulfide pollution at the Kazokiškės landfill and plans to involve a bailiff.

Aplinkos apsaugos departamentas (AAD) konstatavo, kad Vilniaus apskrities atliekų tvarkymo centras (VAATC) neįvykdė įpareigojimo nutraukti viršnormatyvinę sieros vandenilio taršą Kazokiškių sąvartyne. Dėl to departamentas ketina kreiptis į antstolį dėl priverstinio privalomojo nurodymo įvykdymo.
