Endemic Orchid Species Documented in Cotabato, Philippines

5 of 7 orchid species found in Cotabato endemic to PH

MANILA, Philippines — Five of seven orchid species documented in the mountains of Magpet, Cotabato, are endemic to the Philippines, according to a biodiversity monitoring activity conducted early this month.  The Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of Matalam, through its Wildlife Resource and Conservation Unit, recorded the species during the three-day monitoring activity.
