Dora Richter, First Known Transgender Person, Honored with Berlin Plaque

Dora Richter, a Czech native and the first known individual to undergo complete sex reassignment surgery, has been honored with a memorial plaque in Berlin. The final of her procedures took place in 1931 at the Am Urban hospital, and LGBT+ activists unveiled the plaque at the clinic's entrance.
