Defection Leads to Change in Lugo Mayoralty After 27 Years
The Popular Party (PP) has taken control of the Lugo mayoralty from the PSOE after 27 years, following the vote of a socialist defector. This councilwoman gained her position due to two of the three deaths of PSOE councilors since 2023.
