Czech Parliament to Revisit Budget Law Amendment Vetoed by President

Czech lawmakers are set to reconsider an amendment to budget laws that was previously rejected by President Petr Pavel. The ANO party asserts the new rules will not lead to excessive debt, while the Mayors party argues they will undermine effective financial oversight.

Poslanci by se tento týden měli vrátit k novele rozpočtových zákonů, kterou zamítl prezident Petr Pavel. „Veto prezidenta nepovažuji za odůvodněné. Nevnímám, že by rozpočtové zákony způsobily bezuzdné zadlužování,“ říká v Pro a proti Českého rozhlasu Plus vládní poslankyně Jana Murová (ANO). „Není problém přizpůsobit se stavu ekonomiky, ale není možné pravidla úplně zrušit, což se teď stane,” oponuje poslankyně Lucie Sedmihradská (STAN).
