Sucho a minimum srážek v Česku opět vážně poškozují úrodu krmných plodin. Kvůli kritickému nedostatku pícnin a kukuřice nemají zemědělci čím krmit dobytek a jsou nuceni přistoupit k prodeji dobytka. Například Agropodnik Košetice na pomezí středních Čech a Vysočiny musí snížit stavy o 600 kusů a rozprodává býky i malá telata.
