Czech Coalition Proposes Law Granting Police Power to Close Shops Selling Dangerous Products

A new legislative amendment backed by Prime Minister Andrej Babiš and other coalition lawmakers would allow police to temporarily shut down businesses offering goods that seriously threaten public health and safety.

Policie by mohla získat pravomoc k dočasnému uzavření provozovny nabízející výrobek, jenž vážně ohrožuje život či zdraví lidí. V novele to navrhla skupina koaličních poslanců včetně premiéra Andreje Babiše (ANO), předsedy Sněmovny Tomia Okamury (SPD) a vicepremiéra Petra Macinky (Motoristé).
