Court Posthumously Rehabilitates Artist Milan Knížák

The District Court for Prague 10 posthumously rehabilitated the recently deceased artist and educator Milan Knížák, whose decision immediately became legally binding as both parties waived their right to appeal. Knížák had been detained in 1974 for alleged damage to the state.

Obvodní soud pro Prahu 10 ve středu rehabilitoval nedávno zesnulého umělce a pedagoga Milana Knížáka. Rozhodnutí okamžitě nabylo právní moci, strany se vzdaly práva na odvolání. Soud uznal Knížákovu účast na soudní rehabilitaci za jeho vazební stíhání na přelomu let 1974 a 1975 podle nálezu Ústavního soudu. Rehabilitovat Knížáka, který zemřel 26. července, ve středu navrhla státní zástupkyně Markéta Mizerová i obhájce Lubomír Müller.
