Colombian President Petro Provisionally Suspended Ahead of Elections

Colombian President Gustavo Petro has been provisionally suspended from his position until after the upcoming elections. The Interior Minister stated that the House of Representatives' Investigation and Accusation Commission lacks the authority for such a suspension.
