Triglav zaradi podnebnih sprememb izgublja svojo ledeno podobo

Triglavski ledenik bo zelo verjetno do oktobra povsem izginil. Če je sredi 19. stoletja meril 46 hektarjev, sredi 20. stoletja pa le še 14 hektarjev, ga danes praktično ni več. Eden od dveh ledenikov pri nas se je torej takole zmanjšal le na nekaj manjših zaplat ledu. Kar pa je posledica podnebnih sprememb – v Alpah je segrevanje ozračja kar dva- do trikrat hitrejše od svetovnega povprečja.
