BoA establishes own agency

BoA established her own management company, BApal Entertainment, the agency announced Tuesday. "BoA opted for a new structure to better realize her musical direction," the newly established company added. BoA concluded her contract with SM Entertainment in December after 25 years. She debuted in 2000 at the age of 14 and spearheaded the initial wave of Korean culture across Asia, creating a path for K-pop artists internationally. She achieved significant success in Japan, in particular, with two million-selling albums according to Oricon.
