Bishop Antonie of Bălți Elected Head of Metropolis of Bessarabia

The Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church, presided over by Patriarch Daniel, has voted to appoint His Eminence Bishop Antonie of Bălți to lead the Metropolis of Bessarabia. The decision was made on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
