Berlin Zoo Celebrates 69th Birthday of Fatou, Possibly World's Oldest Gorilla

Fatou, believed to be the world's oldest gorilla, recently celebrated her 69th birthday at the Berlin Zoo, where despite lacking teeth and suffering from arthritis, she remains mobile and occasionally climbs, receiving a special vegetable feast instead of cake.

V berlínské zoo slavila před pár dny 69. narozeniny gorila Fatou, zřejmě nejstarší svého druhu na světě. Nemá už zuby, trápí ji artróza, přesto se stále sama pohybuje a občas i vyšplhá do výšky. Místo dortu dostala speciální zeleninovou hostinu. V přírodě se přitom gorily tak vysokého věku dožívají jen výjimečně, obvykle maximálně 45 let.
