Austria Considers Allowing Defense Lawyers to Become Prosecutors
Austria's coalition government has reached an agreement regarding the federal prosecutor's office, proposing that defense lawyers should also be eligible to apply for prosecutorial roles and that parliament should have a say in the decision. However, the proposal still requires approval from the Greens and faces protests from within the judiciary.
