Assam Tables Uniform Civil Code Bill, Amit Shah Assures Tribals
The Assam government has tabled a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) bill in the state assembly, making it the third BJP-ruled state to do so. Union Home Minister Amit Shah assured tribal communities that the UCC would not impact their rights, urging them not to fear the legislation.
