Plzeňský kraj je po Jihočeském druhý nejzalesněnější kraj v republice. Lesy zabírají zhruba 310 tisíc hektarů, travní porosty 115 tisíc. Podíl orné půdy ale klesá. Data zveřejnil Český statistický úřad.
