Bags ripped open, belongings missing: American Airlines told to pay Rs 3.61 lakh

A Delhi consumer commission ordered American Airlines to pay Rs 3.61 lakh. Two passengers reported damaged bags and missing items upon arrival in Toronto. The airline was found responsible for the baggage during the Miami to Toronto flight. Compensation includes Rs 1.11 lakh for lost items and Rs 2 lakh for distress. The commission dismissed complaints against British Airways and the insurer.
