Allahabad HC drops NSA against DU student over Noida stir, but she’ll stay in jail

The Allahabad high court has overturned the Noida police's detention of Aakriti Choudhary under the National Security Act, highlighting serious procedural mistakes and insufficient evidence. As a result, the court mandated a compensation of five lakh rupees for the labor activist accused of inciting unrest during a protest for better minimum wages. Choudhary is involved in eleven FIRs but has managed to secure bail in five.
