40th Anniversary of Himzo Polovina's Death Commemorated

Forty years ago, Himzo Polovina, one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's greatest sevdalinka interpreters, passed away. Born in Mostar in 1927, he was a prominent figure in cultural societies before and after World War II.

Himzo Polovina je rođen u Mostaru 11. marta 1927. godine. Prije Drugog svjetskog rata nastupao je u Muslimanskom kulturnom društvu "Itihad", a poslije kao član Radničkog kulturno-umjetničkog društva "Abrašević".
