Vehicle dealers in Lagos have criticized the Lagos State Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS) following a viral video depicting an enforcement operation over alleged violations of number plate regulations.

The Lagos State Government, through its Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS), has impounded 175 vehicles for violating traffic regulations, specifically the unauthorized use of dealer number plates, with the recovered plates to be confiscated and vehicles investigated further.
