Birmingham residents and campaigners have accused the local council and police of 'dragging their heels' and giving 'free rein' to a group called 'Raise the Colours,' which is accused of spreading anti-immigration rhetoric while erecting England flags.

Leaders of the nationalist group 'Raise the Colours' have agreed to cease hoisting England flags from lamp-posts in Oxfordshire after facing accusations from the local council of intimidating staff.

Ryan Bridge, co-founder of the 'Raise the Colours' flag campaign group, known for anti-immigrant rhetoric, has been arrested on suspicion of religiously and racially aggravated harassment.
