A member of the Reserve Bank of India's Monetary Policy Committee stated that India must urgently diversify its export markets to mitigate potential impacts from growing US tariff risks, particularly on labor-intensive sectors.

Ram Singh of the RBI's Monetary Policy Committee stated there is no current necessity to increase foreign deposits through measures similar to FCNR(B) schemes.

The Reserve Bank of India's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) is closely monitoring inflation risks, with some members indicating a potential rate hike in the third quarter if inflation significantly increases. The panel is watching inflation as one member eyes a hike this year.

“In the present scenario, a hike in oil prices, exports disruptions and impact on remittances have been identified as the immediate challenges,” RBI MPC member Nagesh Kumar said
