ESPN is set to televise the inaugural Global Lacrosse Games, a new international competition involving the Premier Lacrosse League, Women’s Lacrosse League, and National Lacrosse League, as the sport aims for inclusion in the 2028 Olympics.

Paul Rabil, co-founder of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL), announced plans to bring in team owners by 2028 or soon after. He is banking on lacrosse's return as an Olympic sport at the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Games to boost the PLL's profile.
