Academic staff at Plateau State University in Nigeria have initiated an indefinite strike to demand the settlement of long-overdue salary arrears. The walkout underscores ongoing financial disputes between university management and academic unions across the region.

Plateau State University has sanctioned 76 students for various examination malpractices, including possession of unauthorized materials, mobile phones, impersonation, and writing answers on their bodies.
