The Kano chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed claims by the Kwankwasiyya movement regarding member defections, asserting that its members in Kumbotso LGA remain united and loyal.

A Kano High Court has sacked the local government chairperson of Kumbotso LGA, appointing a replacement who subsequently received a certificate of return from the electoral commission, following claims of wrongful substitution as a candidate.
