Chrétien in Gander: 'Never mistake our generosity for weakness'
Former Canadian prime minister Jean Chrétien marked the 9/11 anniversary in Gander, N.L., with a speech declaring Canada 'bows to no one' and warning the U.S. not to mistake Canadian generosity for weakness. He spoke in the town that sheltered thousands of diverted airline passengers after the 2001 attacks.
