Prominent Nigerian figure Sunday Igboho has inaugurated the Ogun State chapter of his Iru Ekun security initiative, aiming to bolster local law enforcement and community safety. The launch underscores ongoing efforts to address regional security challenges through decentralized vigilante structures.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has donated ₦100 million and a Hilux vehicle to support Sunday Igboho’s Iru Ekun Security Network.

The Iru Ekun security network has seen its volunteer enrollment surpass 80,000 members, according to Igboho. This milestone indicates significant community participation in the security initiative.
