The state weather bureau forecasts rain showers across parts of the Philippines on Saturday, caused by the southwest monsoon (habagat) and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring rains over Southern Mindanao, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa). Residents in the region are advised to prepare for the wet weather.

The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) has been detected outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and could develop into a low-pressure area, according to the state weather bureau.
